Want to give your products a new lease of life? Over time, products may start to look a little dull and not how they looked when they were first fitted. What a lot of people don’t realise is that using some cleaning products can damage the surface of sinks and taps.

We have a range of cleaning products to help revamp your kitchen and sanitary ware, as well as increase their lifespan by looking after them.

This blog sets out to offer advice on all our best-selling care products that we have available.

Our number one best seller, the Cramer Tap Cleaner, uses innovative and unique technology. It does this by creating a beading effect which prevents dirt buildup. This prolongs the amount of time your tap is clean for meaning you don’t have to do it daily.

Why shouldn’t I use bleach to clean my sink or tap?

Bleach and other harsh cleaners can damage surfaces, strip protective finishes, and cause discolouration. Many manufacturers also state that using bleach can void your warranty.

How often should I use a specialist cleaner?

Most sinks and taps benefit from a weekly clean with a specialist product. Daily wipe-downs with hot soapy water will keep surfaces fresh, and specialist cleaners can be used as needed to restore shine or remove limescale.

Are specialist cleaners safe for coloured sinks and taps?

Yes. There are products formulated specifically for coloured granite sinks and coloured taps. These cleaners protect the finish, prevent dulling, and add a water-repellent layer to keep colours looking vibrant.

Do specialist cleaning products really make a difference?

Absolutely. They’re designed to extend the lifespan of your sink or tap, reduce limescale and dirt build-up, and restore surfaces to a like-new shine. In the long run, this saves money by preventing damage and avoiding premature replacements.

Cramer Gentle Tap Cleaning Spray

Using harsh bleach-based products can void some manufacturer warranties, so it is always best to use specialist cleaners to ensure you do not run into this problem.

This cleaner cleans any taps/showers whilst ensuring no abrasive damage is caused, leaving a superb shine every time. You may be thinking this is a little expensive for a tap cleaner, but this gives the effect of a new tap without the need to go out and buy a new tap.

We recommend spraying the tap cleaner onto the surface of the tap, leaving it on there for a few seconds and rubbing it into the tap – then rinse it off with warm water and rub it dry once finished. You should be left with a sparkling tap!

  • Creates a beading effect that prevents dirt build-up.

  • Keeps taps cleaner for longer with minimal effort.

  • Non-abrasive and safe for regular use.

  • Recommended use: spray, leave a few seconds, rub in, rinse with warm water, and dry with a soft cloth.

Franke Kitchen Tap Cleaner

Everyone wants their kitchen tap to be sparkling. To achieve this look, the Franke Tap Cleaner removes all lime scale, calcium deposits and dirt from the tap, whilst protecting the inside of the tap – some harsher cleaning products damage the internals of the taps without us realising.

This product not only makes your tap look squeaky clean but also ensures that the internals remain in good condition, prolonging its lifespan.

We also offer the same tap cleaner for coloured taps – the Franke Chrome & Coloured Kitchen Tap Cleaning Care. This helps preserve coloured surfaces while removing limescale and dirt, similar to the Franke Tap Cleaner.

It is also worth noting that both products are eco-friendly and biodegradable.

To achieve the best results, we advise spraying your tap all over, leaving it on there for a few seconds and then wiping it with a damp Franke Microfiber Premium Care Cloth.

  • Removes limescale, calcium deposits, and dirt.

  • Protects internal parts of the tap from damage.

  • Available in a version specifically for coloured taps.

  • Eco-friendly and biodegradable.

  • Best results: spray, leave briefly, then wipe with a Franke Microfiber Premium Care Cloth.

Franke Twister

Deep cleaning and looking after the kitchen sink is often forgotten about in many households, but shining up your stainless steel sink is not as hard as you think! The Franke Twister cleaner works for stainless steel, Fragranite and Tectonite sinks.

The best way to enjoy your sink for a long period is by using the correct care products, which will ensure that your sink looks great and lasts longer.

We advise dampening the active sponge you get with the Franke Twister, then twisting it into the cream product for a few seconds, then in circular motions, scrub all over your sink, to wipe the product off the sink, rinse well with water or polish with a damp cloth. After using the Franke Twister, allow it to dry and then close the box.

  • Suitable for stainless steel, Fragranite, and Tectonite sinks.

  • Revives shine and extends sink lifespan.

  • Includes an active sponge for easy application.

  • To use: dampen sponge, twist into cream, scrub in circular motions, rinse well, polish with damp cloth.
