Kitchen sink made from ceramic and granite may show signs of hairline cracks, or chipping on the underside of the sink. These are purely superficial, and in no way impact the performance of the product. The products are complex to manufacture, so as a result are produced using fine materials and some small cracks can appear when the sink is fired in the kiln or baked in a mould (part of the manufacturing process). None of these attributes harm the product, or cause it to be substandard, and it will carry the full guarantee offered by the manufacturer.
