With a name like that you could be forgiven for thinking that all they offer is composite worktops and kitchen sinks. Whilst in 1984, when it was founded, it was the only provider of coloured granite sinks, they have since diversified and nowadays offer a huge portfolio of products including sinks, kitchen taps and acrylic baths.

ROK is their line of composite materials based on their original coloured granite. By using cutting edge manufacturing methods the proportion of quartz at the surface is increased resulting in an extremely hard-wearing, and eye-catching surface. By forcing the material into a tightly-bound composite they can produce something that has all the beauty of natural stone without the disadvantages such as attracting stains and being prone to chips.
ROK is available in three finishes – metallic, granite and tex which is a texture granite effect. So if you are looking for a sink that can deal with anything a kitchen can throw at it – knife cuts, hot pans, acidic liquids – even wine – then look no further.
As granite composite, despite it's advantages, is not to everyone's taste Astracast have also turned their collective hand to producing sinks in the traditional materials of stainless steel and ceramic.
Their stainless steel sinks are produced with 0.7mm high quality 18/10 stainless steel in three finishes – time-honoured polished steel and more modern brushed and linen effects. From simple one-piece sinks to carefully crafted multi-bowl fabricated sinks there is a wide range and unlike some cheaper competitors they are so confident in their quality that they offer a lifetime guarantee.
Ceramic sinks are a hard-wearing and time-tested solution to the demands placed on a kitchen sink. Impervious to stains, resistant to heat and difficult to scratch they have been found in kitchens for almost as long as modern kitchens have existed.
As the Victorians found out there's little point in a kitchen sink without a tap – you may as well use a bucket. Astracast produce a fine range of taps to help you make the most of your sink and to complement any design both old and new. Their carefully crafted taps are available in several finishes including traditional chrome and brass to modern black, many of which are WRAS certified.
Throughout the 1990's Astracast's manufacturing business boomed producing in excess of 1 million units per year. Adding baths to their portfolio was a natural addition and they merged with Jacuzzi UK in 2008.
